ELAD Canada's large-scale Emerald City project is well underway at Sheppard Avenue and Don Mills, and we recently stopped by the site to check out construction progress. Consisting of three towers as well as townhomes, Emerald City will bring some much-needed density to the Sheppard corridor. Emerald City has drawn much attention for its role as an example of private sector interest and investment in tower renewal, updating 1960s-era towers that define much of Toronto's suburbs. The project is designed by WZMH Architects, with interiors by GNA Interior Design.

The images below primarily focus on the construction of the first two towers sold, reaching 39- and 29-storeys upon completion. Following successful sales of both towers, ELAD is currently selling the third and final tower, Dream Tower, which will reach an eventual height of 25-storeys. All told the complex will contain 1,198 units designed for both young professionals as well as growing families.

The complex will contain a variety of amenities including a fitness centre, movie and party rooms, roof deck, swimming pool and guest suite. Residents will also benefit from quick access to Don Mills subway station, as well as Fairview Mall, located right across the street.
