Today's Photo of the Day comes from darkwaders, and is a stunning night shot of the downtown core. The Trump Tower can be seen to the left in front of the Scotia Plaza — while the lights are clearly on in the lower hotel portion, few brighten the upper floors, as the condominium has yet to officially open. We can expect quite a beacon of light downtown once it's completely finished and its spire lights up.

Also shown in this image is the recently completed First Canadian Place, beautifully reflecting the surrounding lights in its brand new cladding. While the perspective is slightly off, this gives a great idea of just how much variance exists in the CBD in terms of density and architecture.
