The north end of downtown Toronto has experienced rapid growth in the last decade as tower sprout all over the place. Today's Photo Of The Day, taken by UrbanToronto Forum member Jasonzed, bares witness to this. A sea of green and blue glass towers is now beginning to overwhelm the large number of beige and brown towers that first rose in the 1960's and 1970's.

Towers currently visible under construction include the new Women's College Hospital, Burano Condos by Lanterra Developments and the new SickKids Research Centre respectively from left to right according to their cranes. And there's more to come. Our only wish is that someone would consider using something other than beige, brown, green or blue cladding.
