The first rendering - of the podium - of the new INDX Condos near Bay and Adelaide has been revealed. The design of the 53-storey building by Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects for Lifetime Developments and CentreCourt Developments shows a cornice and podium maintaining the proportions of the historic Graphic Arts Building immediatley to the north.
The very urban site has had a number of false starts over the years - as the First Toronto Tower, the Sapphire Tower, and the Canada Tower - but we believe that the developers and timing are finally right for this spot in the heart of the city. Most of the details of the building are still under wraps, but if you are already interested to learn more, UrbanToronto's dataBase listing for the building includes a couple of more detailed images, and the links you need to put your name on the project's registration list. Find the dataBase below, along with the associated Forum threads if you want to join in the conversation.
