A new rendering released for 88 Scott Street provides a better idea of what we can expect to rise on the east side of the downtown core, and has definitely sparked our interest.

Developed by Concert Properties, and designed by Page + Steele/IBI Group, 88 Scott will reach 58 storeys, with dramatic terracing rising from the heritage podium. The architects have designed a building which draws inspiration from the vertical towers to the west, using more traditional materials such as limestone, but staying thoroughly modern. Residents will be within walking distance of the downtown core, the St. Lawrence Market, the newly developed waterfront, TTC, and Distillery District.

It's great to see another condominium experimenting with architectural styles, and stepping out of the box. What do you think about the design?
