Today we turn the spotlight towards the west end of UrbanToronto's far-reaching gaze, looking at the Limelight development currently underway in Mississauga. Developed by the Daniels Corporation and designed by Kirkor Architects, Limelight brings a splash of color to Mississauga's centre, contributing to the architectural variety of the area.

The two-tower, 22- and 32-storey development is nearing completion, expected to be ready for its first residents some time next year. The development also includes townhouses as well as some very unique amenities, such as the two-storey indoor basketball court.

The two towers will rise above an intimate private courtyard, as well as a raised garden terrace, which will offer residents the chance to have their own private garden.

The project's Forum pages have been busy lately, with dozens of construction photos aiming to capture the unique vistas that Limelight will frame between its two towers, as well as its contribution to the skyline. The project is up against some pretty stiff competition. Absolute World's curvaceous form still dominates the ever-expanding Mississauga skyline. We'll leave you with some photos of how the construction is progressing so far, and a panoramic view of the current skyline.
