The transformation of upper Bay Street has been well under way for a few years, and now Cresford's project at 1000 Bay Street, 1Thousand Bay, is poised to make its mark on the evolving streetscape. Designed by architectsAlliance, the new condominium will fill in a surface-level parking lot on the edge of St. Mike's College. Forum member urbandreamer posted a couple of great nighttime renderings, shown below.

Word is that the building will reach 32 storeys and will contain somewhere between 300 and 400 units, joining Cresford's portfolio alongside the successful Casa Condominiums located just a few blocks away on Charles Street. The building will offer great views westward, taking advantage of the densely-treed University of Toronto campus and Queen's Park.

Details are still scarce, but you can be sure we'll keep you posted with any new renderings and other information regarding the building. In the meantime, keep the discussion going on the Forum thread devoted to this project here.
