For today's Photo Of The Day we travel to Eglinton and the Don Valley Parkway to take a look at the new Aga Khan Museum + Ismaili Centre. Here, in this photo taken by UrbanToronto forum member cruzin4u, we see work progressing on the Ismaili Centre. The Ismaili Centre, designed by Indian-based Charles Correa Associates in collaboration with Toronto-based Moriyama & Teshima Architects, will be the spiritual part of the complex.
It will be joined by the Aga Khan Museum. Designed by Japanese Pritzker Prize winner Fumihiko Maki, the 10,000 square-metre structure will contain over 1000 artefacts documenting the history of the Muslim religion. You can see more here.
