Site preparation for construction is well underway at the new Pinnacle On Adelaide condos. Located at the southwest corner of John and Adelaide, the 43 storey condo will contain 564 units. As part of the construction a heritage building currently on site will be incorporated into the new structure. But first it will need to be moved to allow for construction of the new tower. Here we see the historical building getting ready for the move. Holes for the support beams have been created and steel has been attached to the foundation.

The building will actually be moved across John Street to where parking for the Pinnacle On Adelaide sales centre currently sits. The heritage building will be moved back once the new structure is complete. Retail or restaurant usage is envisioned for the restored building.

Here's a look at a rendering for Pinnacle On Adelaide. You can see the heritage building fronting John just to the left of the main tower.

Developed by Vancouver based Pinnacle International, the design is by Hariri Pontarini Architects with interiors by Chapman Design and landscaping by Janet Rosenberg + Associates.
