Change is coming to the area on Yonge north of Davenport in the form of a hotel and condo combo. 906 Yonge Street, the current site of soon to be closed Ridpath Furniture, is going to be replaced by a 23 storey hotel with the parking lot at the back, address 25 McMurrich Street, replaced with a 30 storey condo. Here, in a photo taken back during the winter by UrbanToronto forum member drum118, we see the current 906 Yonge location.

The plans include incorporating most of the Tudor Revival style facade into the new hotel. Here we see the plans via the original Yonge Street elevations.

And here are the original north elevations.

These elevations reflect the original plans which consisted of a 30 storey hotel on the Yonge side and a 28 storey condo on the McMurrich side. After consultations with the city and the local community, the plans were revised to the 23 and 30 storey version. Design will be by KPMB Architects. We'll keep you informed as more details are released.
