Cityzen and Fernbrook Homes have given Mississauga curvy "Marilyn"in the form of Absolute World condos. In Toronto they, along with partner Castlepoint, are providing a "chesty" counterpart in the form of the L Tower. Soaring 58 storeys, the north side of the building will slant outwards as it rises only to dramatically pull back as it nears the top.

These photos by Urban Toronto forum member Atlantis show the north side as it starts to angle out.

A closer look shows the north column slowly moving away from the round column to its right.

Here's what to expect when it is completed.

Designed by renowned architect Daniel Libeskind in partnership with Page + Steele Architects, the building's interiors are courtesy of Munge Leung Design Associates

We'll be keeping regular updates as the tower rises and the slant becomes increasingly more obvious. For additional discussions and photos click here for the Urban Toronto forum discussion on the L Tower.
