Today's Quick Pic, taken by forum member Jasonzed, brings us to Toronto City Hall where Nathan Phillips Square is being revitalized. Here we see the former site of the Peace Garden, which is being relocated to the west side of the square.

Other changes include a new 2 storey restaurant, a versatile new Theatre Stage and a new skate pavilion. The overhead walkways will be reopened with new furniture and landscaping making them more attractive to visitors. Cost of the project is estimated to be $40 million. The design is by the team led by Plant Architect Inc. and Shore Tilbe Perkins + Will, who won the design competition held in 2007. Work is expected to be completed in 2012.
