Work continues on the new Shangri-La Toronto hotel and condos. Today's Photo Of The Day, taken by forum member yyzer, shows the glass cladding as it rises on the University Avenue side of the 65 storey building. This is going to be one interesting tower when completed.

Shangri-La is the fourth 5-star hotel tower to come the city recently. The Ritz-Carlton, which just opened was first, to be follower by Trump Tower which is opening shortly and the Four Seasons which will be following later this year. That's a lot of 5-start hotels to come to a city that until a few years back had exactly none.

Here's what its set to look like when completed.
