650 Bay Street has long been the site of an extremely cheap and downmarket hotel. Renovations to the building have recently started and now we hear it will be relaunched as a boutique hotel.

We would have thought that a building that looks that dumpy would be a prime candidate for replacement. Well it must have good bones. Either way we're glad something is being done to restore this stretch of Bay Street.
