The historic 1908-09 Dominion Meteorological Building at Bloor Street West and Devonshire Place on the U of T St. George campus is being made over by design partner Thomas Payne of Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg Architects to serve as a new home for the Munk School of Global Affairs. South of this site on Devonshire, school head Prof. Janice Stein looks at the building as the next step in expanding the programs of the Munk Centre of International Studies, and a gift of $35 million from gold mining magnate Peter Munk along with $25 million from the Ontario government is making it happen.
