UrbanToronto member Jasonzed has returned to the shores of Lake Ontario at Port Credit to update views of the 22-storey North Shore Condominium designed by Giannone Petricone. At the base of Hurontario Street near Port Credit GO station, developers Fram and Slokker are also developing The Shipyards, at the other end of Hurontario Street where it meets Georgian Bay in Collingwood.

North Shore promises to meet Mississauga's most lively streetscape with retail in the base of the 6-storey podium which continues north on Hurontario, and a grand entrance to the tower at the corner. Much of the highly successful recent development on the south side of Lakeshore Road here was also designed and developed by the Giannone Petricone - Fram & Slokker team. UrbanToronto likes the attention to detail shown here, with the combination of warm materials and clean modern lines with playful but disciplined geometries of the complex's facades. As redevelopmet brings increased densities to main streets across the GTA, we would be happy to see the same care and panache that has been displayed here, to roll out across the region.
