Will it or won't it? Possibly Toronto's longest gestating current development, the Templar Hotel on Adelaide Street West by Peter Street, is finally promised to open sometime this fall. The 8-storey project, built by Toronto designer Del Terrelonge, will contain 27 hotel rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and a spa, every aspect of it designed or directed by Terrelongue's multi-disciplinary firm rhed. Under development since 2000, the Templar has not had to adhere to anyone's schedule other than Terrelonge's, but the ten year schedule has engendered much skepticism that the project will ever open.

Marble has been pouring into the building as of late to outfit the bathrooms, so UrbanToronto wants to believe the opening will soon be upon us. From Gläs:

As noted above, the opening is coming...
