UrbanToronto member Jasonzed recently took these photos of construction at Market Wharf, a 32-storey condominium under construction immediately south of the Saint Lawrence Market (that's it in the last photo), designed by architectsAlliance and developed by Context.

The construction has been split into two phases. The first, which you can see rising over the hoarding below, is an 8-storey podium building which will hide above ground parking behind condominium units.

Soon to be added to the site is the second crane, this one for the 32-storey tower that will rise at the south end of the site.

This image is taken from the deck at the St. Lawrence Market, and shows 4 storeys of condominium units about the extra-height ground floor which will house a Shoppers Drug Mart when complete.

The shot shows the site in the distance down the slope of Market Street.

Some time in 2012 Market Wharf should look like this from The Esplanade and Market Streets.
