Camrost-Felcorp is nearing completion at its 19 storey condominium The Avenue at the southwest corner of Avenue Road and St. Clair Avenue West. The building, designed by Page + Steele, sits above the top of the Lake Iroquois shoreline, marked the the large hill on Avenue Road to the south. This elevated spot will give south-facing units on higher floors expansive views to the city's famous skyline, while north-facing units on upper floors will enjoy large terraces. While much of the architecture of the last several decades on neighbouring blocks of St. Clair Avenue itself is resolutely modernist, The Avenue takes its design cues from the traditional architectural styles found on the neighbourhood streets of nearby Forest Hill and Deer Park, from where many purchasers of units at The Avenue are expected to come.
