After a few months of digging, the official groundbreaking of 75-floor Aura at College Park condos took place today, with Toronto Mayor David Miller and Councillor Kyle Rae on hand, plus many representatives of developer Canderel Stoneridge, several purchasers, Downtown Yonge BIA, and quite a throng from the media. Mayor Miller gets things rolling: he's glad to see revitalization along Yonge Street.

Kyke Rae joins the fray - well, he is the fray - a very animated speaker! Rae helped convince the Planning Department that 75 storeys here was a good idea.

Canderel Stoneridge President Michael LaBrier speaks. He's thrilled to be building Canada's tallest residential condominium.
