Plans for a condo next to the Royal Alexandra Theatre have been rejected by city council this afternoon. Developed by Brad J. Lamb and designed by aA's Peter Clewes it was to soar 45 storeys. Council is concerned that this kind of height will encourage owners of the various old low-rise buildings in the area to replace them with towers as well. Both the city and Lamb plan to find a comprise. If they can't Lamb plans to take the issue to the OMB.

Quite the stunning looking building though one can see how some might be concerned about something towering over the Royal Alex like this. More to come. Some additional renders presented to council.
