The problem with flickr is that it only lets you post the photos using the predeterminted sizes they let you use. Usually the result is too small or too large for posting on a forum.

What I used to do is post the smaller size, with a link to the photo page embedded in it. So that way if someone wants to see the larger higher res size, they can click through to the photo page.
