Toronto Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

Early this morning. I've always wanted to see the base of the crane as it was being repositioned higher as a building was being built. I've never seen it but at least this photo shows what it looks like once it is raised from underneath.

Really shows you how important the big push for park space was when this was proposed. So much density around here and more to come, yet that's going to be the only open space between Queens Park and Barbara Hall Park.

One floor to go (the forth floor above the podium) and the process will switch to a step and repeat template so progress should then speed up significantly.
I hope the city does something about the (lack of) width of sidewalks at the western corners of Yonge and Wellesley. It's downright dangerous as it is and only getting worse as more people settle into the area. Though I don't know what can be done without expropriating the buildings.
