3 storey townhomes at the corner of two of Toronto's major arterial roads is an absolute waste. There's no reason whatsoever why there shouldn't have been a mid-rise of at least 8 storeys minimum here. There's even a series of 20 storey apartment buildings just to the north of Eglinton in this area. That the city approved this is typically short-sighted and stupid.
 
And why didnt National Homes think bigger? Did they buy it so well(as in, Build Toronto didnt get enough for it) that townhomes were fine? That land should have gone for so much that only an "avenue" building would make sense.

When we look at city "planning" in Toronto, this stretch of Eglinton illustrates exactly what's wrong in this city.
 
@CapitalSeven, Richview Sideroad was the previous name for this stretch of Eglinton Avenue, hence the essentially innocuous name of the development. Nearby are Richview Collegiate Institute, Richview Library, Richview Park…
