Those balconies remind me of the pincer movements of crustaceans. Not sure if I like 'em wholeheartedly but they're striking and they certainly make these towers distinctive.

The Applicant filed a minor variance application seeking to increase the heights for Towers Two and Three to 227.97 m, and 236.67 m respectively, and to increase the number of dwelling units to 1313. Thus the requested actual height increases were 3.97 m and 2.67 m and the increase in the number of dwelling units was eight. Notably, what was not requested in the minor variance application is any increase in the approved residential GFA of 95,000 sq m as is allowed in the Zoning By-law. The application was denied by the Committee of Adjustment and the Applicant appealed to the Board.

On June 23rd the Board gave an oral decision allowing the appeal, and authorized the variances.

The Mods may want to adjust the thread title and database with the revised increases to the heights.

Am looking foward to the mechanical top-offs on these too. They look like they may have a 1BE vibe about them, as per the renderings. And hopefully a nice gleaming white like the balconies and an interesting compliment to Ice.
