Kerr Street to the south here is not so bad (it's increasingly walkable street retail, better as you go further south), but the shopping plaza to the west of Rain and Senses badly needs to be redeveloped (to the left of the images above). It's the 1960s suburban dream turned 2010s nightmare, and its huge crumbling parking lot would now make a perfect redevelopment site. Put something urban in the ground there, and the residents of Rain and Senses would have bragging rights as pioneers in a revitalized suburban GTA sub-centre.
