Usually I don't like a lot of mullions or spandrel, but they've used it with great effect here. The alternating tones and patterns create a nice sense of texture.

This building is proof that the single biggest problem with architecture in Toronto is the abundance of balconies. Simple shape, full of spandrel, and clad in window wall, yet it still manages to look good without balconies cluttering the facade.

The second biggest problem, would be the use of window wall cladding; looking at new developments in Montreal, it seems like every new residential building there is clad in curtain wall. What's the excuse for using so much window wall here?

The crane is being taken down this weekend. The trouble was, they were busy banging away at 3AM Friday night/Saturday morning.

Is that ever permitted?

Update: no. Even the Reliance project manager confirmed overnight work was not permitted.
