That owl is part of what looks like a very nice Art Deco facade with a curved corner and all. I've been by there a million times and never noticed it until the photo got posted on this site. Too bad it took its future demolition to make it more apparent.
 
Perhaps we can pass the hat around and buy it for Ed, as a token of our appreciation, as a mascot for his UT world headquarters?

Remember that the cast-stone owl that used to adorn the Children's Library on St. George (where Bahen is now) was transferred to Lillian Smith in the 90s...
 
This building will offer great views of the ROM's dinosaurs, across the street. Apparently, they're being reassembled in new positions - I'm hoping for a chorus line of Tony Manero poses.

Looks like the "owl" facade was a later addition--1940s?--to Victorian building.

Only now realize MuseumHouse will have gorgeous view of the better looking MuseumHouse==Uno Prii slab on Prince Arthur (the building I wanna live in someday....)
