Toronto 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

That had more to do with each Menkes brother's proclivity for his favourite firm than a concerted attempt at 'difference' though. Recall, originally, the whole project was aA.

Still, you're not wrong.

Really! Let's march to City Hall and demand that they quit planning this so well! Time to get sloppier!

Cute. This is a flagrant example of maximizing the ROI for the developer. It's both mediocre and commonplace. Our waterfront deserves much better.

There are changes afoot: the building is now 10 cm shorter (@DonValleyRainbow) but with one more floor, and a bunch of modification at ground level. It's all a part of an update to the rezoning application, and you can read about it in our new front page story. There's also, BTW, a new thread for Blocks 3 and 4 on the west side of the site, and a database for it now too as there are now some very preliminary renderings. Have copious fun.

A bit disappointing that the northeast towers are going to be so similar to Harbour Plaza, but I do like the fact that the remaining towers have no balconies.

The 77-storey tower on the west side has balconies. The northeast towers may or may not look like Harbour Plaza: they looked like Ïce in the first submission and everyone cried "not another Ïce!" even though Peter Clewes was saying "the architecture's not done on this yet". In today's story, aA is still warning not to read too much into the submission in terms of the design: this resubmission is about massing.

I think that this building will soon go up.
Will they build the building on spec or have they found a tenant?

@enrigue8 this tower will replace the LCBO offices, and have a big LCBO store as well.

Once the offices move from the existing building to this new one then they can work on the other phases.
