Toronto Fuse & Fuse2 Condos | 80.16m | 27s | Neudorfer | Barrett

The area has quality, and beyond the arrival of the so-called restoration of the factory building there is really not a lot about this proposal that says quality or 'this type of development'. Furthermore, I don't necessarily see the proliferation of thousands of condos as urban renewal either.

Construction on Fuse begins this spring. Looking forward to the restoration of the warehouse building on the corner. Neudorfer did a good job with the Foundry Lofts (further up on Lansdowne). The opening of the Metro should be a huge boost for the intersection as well. The towers however will probably look similar to the Upside Down condo duds.

Here are the townhouse community north of the Dupont railway. It would be nice if whatever gets built along Lansdowne features some commercial retail space to help create some pedestrian appeal.

Foundry Lofts, one of my favorite loft conversions in the city.

Looks like they are trying to start construction here. Permit got refused though.

Any idea why it would get refused?

Well it is in a cheap and ugly area...though that's no excuse to keep adding more crap.

Finally some action on the next phase at Lansdowne and Dupont

The crane is up and it seems quite busy these days.

Not on my list of projects to shoot, but since I was looking at the Davenport Diamond, decided to take some shots of it. More up on site.

Hope there is sound protection going into this project to cover the nose of CP train passing it, otherwise a lot of complaints as well a quick turn over.

With Metrolinx Newmarket Sub to be upgraded to 2 tracks for all day service starting around 2020, that will add more noise as well, but short time frame and every 7-8 minutes once 15 minute service goes in.
