The white balcony glass used here is what I think should have been used on Lago
Yah, exactly the kind of project I had in mind with that comment.

That being said, Lago's balconies have impressed me in the most recent set of photos in that thread.

But boy, Flaire should have had another 10 storeys added to it with those balconies.

That "glass" looks like it might be white powder-coated perforated aluminum to me. Above that it's glass for sure, but below that, I'm not sure that's frit we're looking at.

Feels a bit clunkier than in the renderings.

Probably because of the railings and the boxy carbuncle on the corner.

Still, a good project that will help Don Mills densify.

The third condo development to be built at the Shops of Don Mills is still to be completed. Here's how it looked on the weekend, starting off with the view past Liv Lofts (2015) and Reflections (2014):

I really like the sweeping lines meeting up with an orthogonal wall.

When you get up close, you see that the balcony guards are in fact perforated aluminum. The holes are smaller in front of the slabs.

Now if only CF could take some of this, and apply it to some of their shopping malls and office developments instead of plastering the CF name all over those developments and calling it a day.
