Hey, they can both contribute to the feeling I was talking about. In fact, the row of buildings is what gives the distinct feeling as opposed to one individual, so the more the merrier!

Monde doesn't work for me architecturally - I'm too lazy to explain why right now - hence my remark above.

This evening. Tried to capture a sense of scale of the ground floor; very nice height. Materials really do look good, too:

I still feel like the towers should be more dynamic, especially since for the time being they will be the most highest waterfront buildings east of Jarvis. Still, the brick base looks sharp and the streetscape renders look hopeful.

Little details matter - like the single row of vertically laid bricks above the glazing.

Seems to fit in well with the area - there's a bit of a warehouse feel to the ground level. The red brick stands out nicely. Not too sure about the black brick

I think Monde and Daniels Waterfront are in a tight race for best new build on the waterfront.

Glad they hired 'Speedy' for this job. They are living up to their name.
