They stood up a second tower crane this past Wednesday. Have to admire those guys working in the air at the end of a boom.

They are moving fast. How come occupancy slated for 2019?

Apparently so. But, I "suspect" speed now is tied to financing milestones. There may be other motives but large projects seem to move in spurts. Digging a hole and standing a crane is a significant milestone, easily understood by a banker. Then pouring the slab at ground maybe the next one, depending on how the interim progress payments are structured.

Not sure if any of this financing is tied to the CAD$, that throws in a different twist.

Not sure if Daniels even bothers with getting financing as they seem to fund their projects themselves and start construction prior to even selling units. They have deep pockets and their own construction company (like Tridel, GG, Mattamy, etc.). This is part of the reason of their success in Regent Park: showing prospective homeowners and investors that the project is going forward prior to sales. They create a lot of buzz and anticipation with their preview registration process that's fair for most ppl vs. an exclusive VIP event for friends and family.

That's a pretty awesome video, how high up would you say your drone was (do drones save their altitude and GPS data?).

Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen that particular crane and colour combination. Are there other blue and yellow cranes in town? New company, perhaps?

Daniels are moving their own offices here so they have a personal reason to move as quickly as possible.
