Toronto CN Tower: Entry Pavilion, Plaza, Renos | ?m | ?s | CLC | Arcadis

It does look interesting and it is probably something I would try too. Whenever I have people coming to Toronto for the first time, the CN Tower is a must-see, at least there is something for me to try next time I have to go up there.

Price comparison of similar tower walks (height of walk, not height of tower):

Aukland Tower (192 metres): Skywalk $145 NZD ($120 CAD), Look n Leap $290 NZD ($240 CAD)

(Not 100% sure on the currencey conversions, but Macau seems cheap. Getting to Macau is another thing...)

If anyone has a view of the CN Tower check out the insane light show tonight. I don't know if they're testing a new lighting pattern, showing off for TIFF or what's going on but I've never seen anything like it. It seems to begin about five minutes before the top of the hour.

I've noticed in some pictures from this year that additional lights have been added atop the 360 restaurant, (see picture below) but I don't think they've been turned on for a while. I was thinking they might have been installed for EdgeWalk to be used at night?

Yes, those lights are for EdgeWalk and have been on at night since it opened in summer of 2011. They go off sometime around 9:30 when it closes and aren't used from November to April when it's closed for the season.

They are on in the early morning when I head to work, as well as on foggy days, so I don't think its just an edgewalk thing. They were also turned on during snowy days in the winter.

It's a shame they don't leave them on once EdgeWalk shuts down for the night. The tower looks strange with the top half of the observation bubble in darkness, most of the time. I remember years ago they used to illuminate the red band atop the corrugated, slanted metal roof. I wish LEDs would be installed along it...

Just my opinion but I think the EdgeWalk lighting takes away from the LED lighting display so I'm pleased they shut them off early evening so that they aren't on for long.

I gotta agree. I don't like it. Then again I really can't stand the edgewalk. Ruined the look of the tower, and shouldn't have been allowed.

Oh come off it. You can't see it without binoculars and it added another draw to the tower and thus the city. As for the lighting, with it going off at 9:30 I see that as a very small sacrifice.
