Great old dame lit up like that but I have to agree with comments on some aspects of the masonry, especially the more decorative aspects. Those cracks don't look "restored" to me. I'm all for a little character but that seems like an odd oversight.

I wonder what, if anything is left of the original interior. The superintendent referred to some ballustrades.
My guess is not much, at least not above the ground floor. The floors are all new (given that there are six where there used to be four in the main volume) and I suspect that it was almost entirely gutted and rebuilt from the inside out.

This looks fantastic.

Regarding the new old name, to be honest part of me is disappointed they didn't go with The New New Broadview Hotel moniker (a nod to Futurama's New New York).

Yeah, there's absolutely nothing of the interior thats original. I peered in when it was under construction, and could see ALL the levels from the basement all the way up to the top. basically only the exterior shell remains original.

I know people don't send postcards anymore, but if they did, a corner shot of the hotel lit up at night would make a great one.

This will definitely be (even more of) a landmark for the area.
