I like the brick podium, but without the fins it doesn't stand out from the other buildings in the area.

Yeah, fully agree - the UT frontpage update was nice, but I found the assertion that the building somehow stands out amid the skyline sea of green and blue a bit quizzical. Above the podium, it's really quite average and unremarkable, which is disappointing.
 
When do we get Peter street back? The lane and sidewalk closure made sense when they had to move the house on to the street. After it was moved back, the city should have made them pull back the hoarding. There's a staging area in the alleyway right next to it. No need to keep a lane on Peter street closed for several years.
 
The city approved the length of time the lane is to be closed and charged the developer "rent" to occupy the space. It would not be fair for them to demand it back.
