I think I can tell which one is Bay Adelaide East from that distance, not 100%… but it's a gorgeous shot.

Yes and no. It's very simple but it is really pretty
Yeah, I agree. I'd go further--I positively like it. Standing alone it'd be a space-waster, but as part of this developing complex I think it's a welcome addition. It densifies the area nicely, and it's clean and unobtrusive.

Once the third is built it will be a contemporary version of the Mies Van de Rohe complex.
Their reflective quality also helps create an illusion from many perspectives that the core is even bigger than it really is.
They are not stand alone icons but I think they will really prove their worth with time.

Bay Adelaide West = Slightly more interesting design (notched corners, roof fins, street level presence, heritage facade at base)
Bay Adelaide East = Slightly better cladding

If only either one had tall roof fins (like the NY Times Tower in NYC), or a setback (4 World Trade Center), they would have looked a lot more interesting.

4 world trade is pretty nice agreed, I am not personally a fan of the fins on the NY times tower... I actually prefer what we have here over that. Not saying it's an ugly building I just thing those fins at the top over complicate a bit.
