I like it. I wonder if the slats are wood or metal - either way, they make a way more interesting façade than a wall of glass. Also, the preservation of York Sq. makes the ground plane way better than if this landed on a traditional "podium"... This kind of open "village" base could become a new typology for towers in toronto

Finally something that is unique and interesting. I can't recall any cases of this type of "slatty" facade anywhere in the city. Is anyone familiar with a previous use of this design? I'm curious if there are any examples in real life and how they turned out.

Great evolution here... Love the slats and that sort of floating floor above the heritage. (Not sure the technical term.)
