on to the PH levels but it didn't provide the necessary contrast to the carefully crafted vertical zinc slots.

I agree with condovo==a sharp bold outline to the top but hey, gotta sell those PH units with a terrace and appease the nimbies by making it look less tall, right?

I do wonder though if the CC owners will now sell, hoping they can get additional density for their site?

How did the community meeting go symmetry?

The only thing left...is it an @renderpornstar?

it was offered according to symmetry but they didn't want it.

If it was supposed to mimic a building being wrapped in a robe, why would the top two levels be set back enough to create full terraces? That totally ruins the supposedly desired effect.

I don't believe it does. We ran more than a dozen test schemes and worked with recommended planning criteria.
Doesn't have the same impact without the glass crown.
 
Looks cool. That has to be the largest address numbers to adorn any building!
I thought it was going to stretch the entire block on Bathurst, instead of stretching more across Wolseley Steet.
There's no mechanical penthouse? Or maybe because the building is so small the mechanical only takes up a portion of the top level of residential.
I also agree that the top two levels is a little week and should continue the origami theme. Possibly the parapet should be sloped to create a more dynamic top.

This is exactly the type of building that Toronto needs more of. These should be going up everywhere replacing those mutilated 50's boxes and stripmalls.

Agreed - this is great news! Maybe this will motivate someone to do something similar with that Barbershop and Voltaire eyesore just to the south of this.

I agree with you that the effect is stronger as presented. The zinc cladding feels like an added layer this way, like a decorative carapace. If the cladding totally engulfed the building it would just feel like, well like cladding. Keep it as is.
