There's also the proposed stop at Signet/Arrow, which could also serve the future Emery station, depending on how the station access is configured.

Weston Road is significantly closer to where the rail tracks cross Finch though. Building a massive interchange at Weston Road is better for network connectivity as well (like a small bus loop for 165 Weston buses for instance integrated into the potential GO station).

Oh no doubt, I'm just pointing out the fact that there's another proposed stop in the vicinity that, while not as convenient as the Weston stop, could also be used as a connection.
 
I believe the surface section of Eglinton is supposed to start this summer too. It'll be exciting to see these projects that have been talked about for far too long to finally start.
 
Surface section won't start until December. It'll take about two years to complete.
that seems very quick, considering how it takes around 3 years to do the VIVA lanes in York Region, which require similar levels of work. Is preliminary stuff like utility relocation to start sooner? Mind you they have 4 years to do it all, even if they start in December..
 
No surface section construction this summer. Maybe a few orange pylons and that's all. We probably won't see tracks till 2019.

Well, the Viva Rapidways are not continuously being built. There are sometimes whole month gaps of no progress, mostly during the winter months.
 
Likely utility work first. For example, sewers, watermains, communication cables, electrical, etc.

Depends if they will be putting almost everything underground (more expensive) or not (cheaper). (That's why St. Clair took so long, they had to work on putting in underground electrical and communications.) If not already done so.

St Clair took longer because of delays from the neighbourhood and Hydro decided to rip up the street after it was finished to berry hydro lines. Since then the city coordinates all projects at the same time most likely we will probably see Eglinton taken down to bare concrete if it has it and be redone like a lot of the downtown streets have been over the last few years. I wonder if the TTC will be supervising the placement of the rails like they do with the streetcar projects.
 
I hope there will set up time-lapse cameras for the visible construction.

A timelapse camera was set up by the Region of Waterloo to monitor the King Rail grade separation. No footage available yet, but it's going to be interesting to see the results.
