Billboards went up today for Daniels latest at MCC....Limelight....looks to be a bit shorter than their recent projects...

link is here....http://www.limelightcondos.com/

not sure of the exact location of this one...

a stumpy, cheaper looking version of Casa... I love the name though! So many more condos should use the titles of RUSH songs for their names. Coming Soon... Xanadu !

found the following info posted by Jasonzed over at SSC a few days ago......info is from Daily Commercial News, so posted here with the usual caveat....looks like there will be 2 phases, and that phase 1 will be 22 storeys....no idea if it is another Kirkor design, but probably....

The next Daniels project after Chicago in MCC which looks to be just west of the Sheridan campus

Very sad to see the city Council forcing developers to go small in height.

Based on the first viewing and Question Where, I knew where it was going. YYZR posting confirmed it.

Both the city and developer have this fear about going higher than 39 floors other than Absolute.

Again these towers are stand alone and not away to build a city core. Never will there be a downtown based on current thinking at council.

I know Planning and Development wants to see more vision look and thinking, but are rule by council. They have supported larger developments in the past, but have been over rule by council.

As for retail, tough fight with Sq One next door and you better come up with something new or not in the area to survive.

Was in the mall on Tuesday for the first time in about a months, a fair number of business and kiosk are gone.

I bet Kirkor Architects are going to be behind Limelight condos as well ~

from Urbanation's twitter page:

Register for the 2nd phase of Chicago, called Limelight in the Mississauga City Centre (22-storeys, 233 units): http://limelightcondos.com/

about 4 hours ago via web (March 5, 2010)

fitting for this tiny building (relative to One Park + Chicago), a teeny tiny rendering derived from Limelight Condominium's website (http://limelightcondos.com/):

The above image's angle of Limelight reminds me of VIBE's rendering ~

Not a bad design, but the lack of height given the area it will be in mystifies me.

ya I agree. It will look kinda weird being surrounded by Chicago and One Park Tower but atleast Daniels is going with something different this time.

I like the design, and I like that they have decided to vary the heights a bit, even if they are just doing it to be cautious of the market.

Drum, are you saying Daniels wanted to go taller on this one, but council declined?
