Wow! A service bay each one of the 12 new streetcars we got.

I noticed today that they have now paved the new (replacement) bike path between Commissioners Street and Lake Shore except for the last 10 metres or so at Lake Shore. I assume it will not open until next spring when the rest of the landscaping on the east side of Leslie will apparently be finished but it's a good sign.

Update: I heard from TTC that they hope to open the bike path "soon" so they can remove the temporary (post-protected) bike lanes on Leslie before winter. Today they were installing lighting on the bike path but the section closest to Lake Shore is still a work in progress.

Instead of parking the employee automobiles outdoors, they could park inside in an unused service bay (without the openings underneath the tracks of course).

Nice to see one of the new cars running under the pantograph instead of the pole in at 1:35 that video. Are they going to be running from there out to Spadina every morning? Should be interesting to see cars running up Leslie after so many years of construction.

The location of the 7 cars in service so far today. 2 on Queen E, and 2 on Leslie!



Edit 12:30 pm - all 11 cars in service today. 4408 and 4409 on 509 Harbourfront and the rest on 510 Spadina. And car 12 was just north of Sudbury this moring.

I was wondering why they were running with passengers on King this morning. Two different ones within 5 minutes. Cool!

Because they have to travel down King (or Queen) to get to Spadina.

So while on King, they're signed as 510 Spadina to Spadina Station? So I can board the streetcar somewhere on King Street East and take it to Spadina?
