Toronto Karma Condos | 165.8m | 50s | Lifetime | a—A

Its funny that they never removed the one of a kind show banner from the house. It's 14 years outdated lol.

I think it's painted on. If you look at the top of the ad - just below the soffit you can see some architectural details painted the same as the add.

Never seen it in person though, so just my guess from the photos.

The Casa's each feature balconies that wrap around the entire floorplate, which Karma does not. It's a pretty distinct look. In fact I can't think of any other towers in the entire city that have such a design feature aside from Pulse Condo is North York, and I guess Lago and Exhibit (but those are more about the stacked box look).

Is it a pretty distinct look though?. . . Anyway thanks for the info... Murano-Burano it is!

I know it's early, but I really like the massing on this so far. It gives a strong edge to Grenville, and it's already starting to add a layer to the streetscape on Yonge. For a piece of infill it's changing the feel of the area.

50s seems rather tall to be called infill. Maybe in NYC it would make sense to call a 50s building "infill".

My notion of infill isn't so much about density as it is about built form. This is midblock, is built nearly to the lot lines, and is landlocked (or will shortly be landlocked) by other buildings on all sides (other than those narrow lanes to the east and south). Infill to me is a structure that closes a gap in the built environment.

Taken this afternoon.
