Anyone get a shot of this from say, the middle of College St at McCaul? This building will be the College St western view terminus. Kind of makes me wish the colourful side were there.
 
I ride past this every day - it really overwhelms the area and sets a dangerous precedent.
 
15 story building isn't too tall, and I wouldn't say it sets a dangerous precedent. It might be taller than the surrounding buildings, but this part of town is well connected to transit (especially so close to Spadina) that it makes sense to add some density here. In a few years the towers south on College to the east are going to be taller anyhow so it will be a natural progressing down-slope from University towards the west.
 
That's a reasonable argument. I'm not sure what I think an appropriate built form is for this area, I was just pointing out the issue with the post above.
