Merchant angry part of Yonge to close so crane can be taken down | Toronto Star

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/201...onge_to_close_so_crane_can_be_taken_down.html

Give me a break. It's only one weekend. It happens all the time all over the city. They probably did they same thing when the put the crane up. There's no other option, they clearly need to take the crane down. This condo will bring hundreds of people living next to their businesses, walking by their stores every day, eating at local restaurants.

We're talking 2 days out of 365 in a year, and yet somehow "my business will suffer".

There's definitely scope to look at this. Closing an arterial, especially one which might be flooded with buses to cope with a subway closure, should have a prenotification period longer than 48 hours. If I read 743-29 B correctly, maybe the general manager could have imposed a longer period?

Allure the morning, with the crane gone:

Hey, I was going to hit "like" on your post Adjei, because I think you got this building (which I'm not that big a fan of) in really nice light… but you've put up a bunch of nearly identical photos. In fact, even if the last two aren't absolutely identical, for all intents and purposes, they are the same photo. I don't know about everyone else, but my connection is not superfast, so it takes forever to load posts with a ton of photos. I like catching up with buildings we haven't seen in a while, and I appreciate that you took the time to photograph and post, but seeing the same photo again and again?

Sorry, everyone. I don't like to be negative so often, (I know most of my posts are criticisms), but you'll find me liking posts when along with good photos you also show that you know how many are photos of the same thing are enough!

I was thinking the exact same thing. When I post photos updates I try to avoid posting identical/similar ones.

Ok my bad. I will post different pictures. Just started working in the area that's why I decided to post it since it hasn't been updated in awhile.

November 25th: none of the retail units have been filled yet.
