Yesterday I decided to head down for a day in Toronto. On the way I made a few snips from my cell phone cam. They aren't a lot, and I didn't take pictures of the areas I liked the most (Kensington Market and Milliken) because I was too fixiated on what was around.
After leaving the downtown bus station, I headed to Dundas subway where I told the ticket collector to tell Bob that I said hi. I also hoarded tokens in case fares are raised to $3.00 in a year.
Here's what I have:
Yet more sloppy TTC headway management
I can just imagine what it will look like when it gets tagged.
Then I went to Chinatown and Kensington Market, explored the Hispanic stores, chatted in Spanish with a clerk there, and headed to Koreatown.
In the big Korean supermarket, which was a bit intimidating with all the stuff I never saw before. They even have a whole Kimchi aisle.
After waisting time navigating the Viva bus system which I had never used before, I finally got to Times Square in Richmond Hill. It was very disappointing compared to Pacific Mall, where I bought eight DVDs for $20.
The TTC being lazy with an escalator project
The Trump Tower, where the foundation is being dug.
At the streetcar shelter at Queen and Bay, someone is dirty enough to deface the La Senza ad. I waited for the Queen car to come, but after 15 minutes I gave up and had a hot dog at the hot dog stand. Then I headed back to the bus station and arrived back in my basement room at midnight.
