Toronto 330 Richmond | 93.57m | 27s | Greenpark | Core Architects

The big difference here seems to be that the elevators have been relocated closer to the south side of the building to move them and the overrun away from Queen Street, eliminating (or at least minimizing) shadows on Queen.

This street is going to feel like Carlton between Yonge and Church when all is said and done: unrelenting streetwall coming up to the sidewalk; cavernous, foreboding, yet compellingly urban.

And I can't wait. I often wish Toronto had more streets with strong streetwalls. It seems like once you're north of queen street there are no good streetwalls. Really makes the city feel much smaller-scale, even though there are still lots of towers.

I practically live for street walls. Either way, don't forget the Carlton/Yonge street wall. She's a beaut.

Its lower portion plays nicely off the regulating lines of its neighbour and it's refreshingly not a point tower!

Project is now called 330 Richmond. Much better name. Sales start in the fall I believe.

I think it's a good filler, too. The key is that while it may not compliment Picasso, it doesn't take away from it either. Some of the pics in the database look very decent along with Tableau.
