amazed they are only going for 13 floors here. Most developers are looking at closer to the mid 20's in this area.

Teeple is really trying to liven up the city with its colourful designs. I hope this doesn't go through developer cheapening.

The dimensions are shockingly appropriate.

Not sure how I feel about the demolition of the nice red brick building at 18 Eastern. It's recently renovated, too :/

Teeple is probably the best condo architect in the city. They've had a few clunkers due to the Cheapening - like MV5 on King West - but for the most part they deliver consistent quality.

M5V is by Core.

In any case, the site is within the 5 minute radius of the proposed King/Sumach DRL station.

Doesn't look too bad. My only wish is that the assembled property was half the size.

Yeah, I guess the orange terra cotta is partly meant to create the impression of smaller lot sizes, which reflects the fine grain nature of the greater neighbourhood's streetscape, which is clearly demonstrated in AOD's map of the DRL area above.

Nice effort to break up the hulking mass, but the sidewalk experience is still a monotonous block-long glass facade. That's a drag, unless they have a big grocery store in mind (also suggested at Great Gulf's proposed Power Street development nearby, which has the exact same problem).
