Driving East on Eglinton yesterday, I noticed a billboard advertising Core Modern Homes.

No these front Eglinton ... so silly ..

What's wrong with that?

Is that glazed brick I see or is that just the lighting? It sort of has an 1880 O'Connor Dr vibe (prior to its recent revitalization). I hope this won't be more of that awful charcoal brick that is the all the rage these days. Turqoise would look really cool and retro.

I highly doubt it's glazed brick as it's 10 times more expensive than normal brick and requires a lot more care to lay.
It would be nice to see a building in glazed brick though.

The sizing of the bricks, which look extremely long, and subtle texture could suggest it could be stone which could be very nice.

Houses that used to occupy the site are demolished.

I snapped some pictures of the site months ago and forgot to upload to UT.

I always wondered, is the slope of the hill here on this stretch of Eglinton make building taller undesirable or prohibitively expensive?

The renderings look pretty decent but it'll certainly stand out amongst the existing adjacent buildings as well as the apartment building across the street.
