A good argument for keeping the Gardiner up?

Absolutely. In years to come when the City is in a better financial position, I'd like to see it beautified along the south & north face, and underneath.
 
Does anyone know what the construction is about on Front street across from the new RBC tower? There are pics of it on this thread. New condo?
 
I cant remember feeling so underwhelmed by a building u/c at 30+ floors. I think part of the problem is illustrated in Caltrane's last image... we have RBC, Simcoe Place and Ritz all essentially dark glass boxes, all with horizontal accents. Too much of the same grouped together here and the impact is lost for me.
